AUDC Pty Ltd Partners with Hedera to Launch AUDD Stablecoin on Hedera Network
AUDC Pty Ltd, the issuer of the Australian Digital Dollar (AUDD), has joined forces with Hedera to introduce the AUDD stablecoin on the Hedera Network. This groundbreaking launch, in collaboration with the Hedera Foundation, marks the first instance of an Australian dollar stablecoin being directly issued on Hedera using its Token Service (HTS). Additionally, it represents the inaugural commercial deployment of the Hedera Stablecoin Studio.
Key Features of AUDD on Hedera
AUDD can now be seamlessly sent, received, and stored through any Hedera-compatible digital wallet, providing users with a convenient and secure way to transact in Australian dollars on the Hedera Network.
The integration of AUDD with Hedera offers institutions a regulated and scalable option for leveraging compliant and efficient digital currency solutions. Hedera’s advanced features, such as high transaction throughput, low energy consumption, and Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) compatibility, ensure that AUDD meets the operational and regulatory requirements for digital assets.
Enhanced Interoperability and Use Cases
By expanding AUDD’s presence to include the Hedera Network, AUDC Pty Ltd is strengthening its position across multiple blockchain networks, including Ethereum, Stellar, XRPL, Solana, and XDC. This multi-chain approach not only enhances the interoperability of AUDD but also opens up new possibilities for its utilization in decentralized finance (DeFi), cross-border payments, and trade applications.
