Bitget Launches Tokenized Stock Trading on Onchain Platform
Bitget has introduced tokenized stock trading on its Onchain platform, providing crypto users with the opportunity to invest in top global equities without the need for traditional brokerages.
The announcement, made on July 9, comes as a result of Bitget’s integration with Kraken’s xStocks infrastructure, which was recently unveiled.
Initial listings on the platform include tokenized versions of popular stocks such as Tesla (TSLAx), Nvidia (NVDAx), Strategy (MSTRx), Apple (AAPLx), Circle (CRCLx), and SP500 (SPYx).
According to Bitget CEO Gracy Chen, this expansion signifies a “new phase of market access” where crypto and traditional assets can now seamlessly coexist and complement each other.
Bitget Onchain, which was launched earlier this year, combines the user experience of a centralized exchange with direct exposure to blockchain assets.
Users can trade on-chain tokens using their Bitget accounts without the need to manage private keys or external wallets. The platform supports ecosystems such as Solana (SOL), Base, and BNB.
With the integration of xStocks, Bitget Onchain now offers near-continuous trading of tokenized equities with instant settlement, bypassing the limited hours of traditional equity markets. xStocks operates on a 24/5 trading model, allowing transactions to take place outside of standard market hours.
xStocks issues digital representations of real-world assets, replicating their value on-chain while providing benefits such as faster settlement, transparent ownership records, and fee-free transfers.
Positioned as a bridge between capital markets and blockchain, xStocks is establishing itself as a key infrastructure provider for tokenized equities in response to the demand from crypto-native users seeking exposure to traditional assets within digital environments.
By eliminating transaction fees typically associated with equity brokers and ensuring regulatory compliance to mirror the value of underlying stocks, xStocks offers a seamless trading experience for users.
Bitget’s entry into tokenized stocks aims to cater to a digitally savvy investor base looking for round-the-clock market access and simplified diversification. Established in 2018, the company currently serves over 100 million users globally through its exchange and multi-chain wallet products.
