LINE NEXT and the Kaia DLT Foundation have teamed up to bring a new wave of decentralized applications to the LINE Messenger platform in 2025. This collaboration aims to make Web3 services more accessible to users, marking a significant step towards mainstream adoption of blockchain technology.
As part of the Kaia Wave program, LINE NEXT and Kaia Foundation have carefully selected 30 standout DeFi projects out of a pool of over 800 applicants. Among these projects are popular entries like Bombie and Shin-chan’s Match Daily, as well as other notable Dapps such as Captain Tsubasa -RIVALS- and Superz. The goal is to introduce a diverse range of Web3 Dapps to users in key LINE Messenger markets such as Japan, Thailand, and Taiwan.
Youngsu Ko, CEO of LINE NEXT, expressed the team’s commitment to expanding access to Web3 services for both users and developers. By introducing a wide variety of Dapps on the messenger platform, LINE NEXT aims to grow its user base and drive adoption of blockchain technology in the region.
Dr. Sam Seo, Chairman of Kaia DLT Foundation, highlighted the partnership’s potential to accelerate Web3 adoption across Asia and globally. By creating a user-centric Web3 ecosystem and providing a convenient platform within LINE Messenger, Kaia is paving the way for broader acceptance of blockchain technology.
The upcoming LINE Messenger Dapp Portal will allow users to explore, download, and interact with Web3 Dapps directly within the messaging app. Additionally, the portal will offer virtual asset trading features and rewards for user engagement. To support developers in the ecosystem, LINE NEXT and Kaia will provide SDKs, fee delegation, and marketing resources to help projects succeed. The partners aim to onboard over 150 developer teams by the end of 2024.
