MultiverseX (EGLD) Surges with Safepal Integration, Gains 11% in 24 Hours
MultiverseX (EGLD) has emerged as the top gaining cryptocurrency among the top 100 coins by market cap in the last 24 hours, with its price soaring by 11% following the announcement of integration with Safepal.
Over the past day, the price of EGLD climbed to $32.93, marking a significant increase from its recent lows of $27.35. This surge comes amidst a broader market downturn that saw Bitcoin plummet below $54,000 earlier in the day. Despite the overall bearish trend in the altcoin market, MultiverseX stands out with double-digit gains for the week, in contrast to many other digital assets that have experienced losses during the same period.
Empowering the Metaverse with MultiverseX and Safepal
Formerly known as Elrond, MultiverseX is a blockchain network specifically designed for the metaverse. The EGLD token serves as the network’s utility token, facilitating various functions such as staking, transactions, and governance within the ecosystem.
The recent announcement of integration with Safepal marks a significant milestone for MultiverseX. Safepal, a popular mobile and hardware crypto wallet with a user base of over 13 million worldwide, now provides direct access to MultiverseX through its platform. In addition to the existing hardware and mobile wallets, users will soon have access to a browser extension for seamless interaction with the MultiverseX ecosystem.
According to Daniel Serb, the head of business development at MultiverseX, the integration with Safepal offers users a secure and convenient way to exchange value using EGLD. With over $20 billion worth of crypto assets secured through Safepal’s cold storage solution, users can now engage with the MultiverseX ecosystem both on-the-go and through the upcoming browser extension.
Despite the positive developments, the EGLD token has faced challenges in recent months, with a 16% decline over the past 30 days and struggles to regain its all-time high from November 2021.
