Sky Mavis, the creator of NFT game Axie Infinity and Ethereum gaming network Ronin, made headlines last week with the announcement of a workforce reduction. Players of the W-Coin Telegram tap-to-earn game were in for a surprise as the developers implemented a new inactivity rule. Those who remain offline for three days will have 5% of their token supply burned each day until they log back on. This move is aimed at ensuring that only active players shape the W-Coin ecosystem.
Moonray, an Ethereum-based arena battler game, set a new record for the largest free gaming NFT mint on OpenSea. Over 220,000 “Jadeon Adam” character skins were minted in just 48 hours, making it a massive success for the game.
