Ethereum has recently witnessed a significant corporate accumulation move, with Bitmine Immersion Technologies led by strategist Tom Lee making headlines for acquiring a massive 80,325 ETH worth around $358 million on September 4, 2025.
This acquisition quickly boosted ETH by 1.6%, with the token now trading at approximately $4,375. Bitmine’s purchase has solidified its position as Ethereum’s largest corporate holder, with a total of 1,947,299 ETH valued at around $8.69 billion. This move is part of Bitmine’s Ethereum “Strategy,” aimed at establishing a long-term position in the network’s ecosystem.
The company acquired the ETH from institutional business platforms Galaxy Digital and FalconX. As a result, Bitmine now controls nearly 1.6% of Ethereum’s circulating supply, making it the single largest corporate holder of the token globally. This mirrors MicroStrategy’s role with Bitcoin, giving Bitmine significant influence in the Ethereum ecosystem.
In addition to Bitmine, other companies are also increasing their ETH holdings. Sharplink recently added to its treasury, bringing its total ETH holdings to 837,230, valued at over $3.6 billion. Another company, Ether Machine, announced the purchase of 150,000 ETH, increasing its total holdings to 500,000 ETH, worth approximately $2.19 billion.
These moves by major firms signify a growing trend of treating Ethereum as a strategic long-term asset. This accumulation has provided strong support for Ethereum’s price, which is currently trading at $4,375, marking a 21% gain in the past month and an impressive 82.5% surge over the past year.
Although ETH experienced a correction after reaching an all-time high, it has remained above the key support level of $4,300, demonstrating resilience. Analysts anticipate further bullish momentum by October, with Ethereum potentially ending the year trading above $5,000.
