Cathie Wood’s ARK Invest Shifts Investments Towards Big Tech Stock

Cathie Wood’s innovation-focused ARK Invest has recently made some significant changes in its investment portfolio by selling off shares in several companies and increasing its stake in one Big Tech stock.

Key Changes in ARK Invest’s Portfolio

• ARK Invest sold $6.3 million worth of shares in US crypto exchange Coinbase on July 10th.
• The firm also divested $5.6 million worth of trading app giant Robinhood and $8.5 million worth of streaming platform Roku between July 10th and July 11th.
• Other notable sales include $1.8 million of electric aircraft maker Archer Aviation on July 11th and $8.3 million in digital-payments company Square between July 9th and July 10th.
• On the buying side, ARK Invest acquired $14.2 million worth of shares in electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla on July 11th.

Current Top Holdings

ARK Invest’s top holding is Coinbase at $881.4 million, followed closely by Tesla at $865.1 million. Roku is the third-largest holding at $674.4 million, with Robinhood at $636.1 million.

Cathie Wood’s Market Outlook

In a recent CNBC interview, Ark CEO Cathie Wood expressed optimism about the stock market, indicating a potential strong bull run. She also predicted a US economic recovery following potential rate cuts by the Federal Reserve.

“We have been climbing a wall of worry. A lot of people expected tariffs and wars and the controversy between the Fed and the President to really shake markets up. And of course, there has been some volatility. But these are the kinds of bull markets that I think are the most durable, when the market climbs through all of that controversy. It’s really signaling something. And I think the things that it’s signaling are: interest rates probably are coming down… we’ll move from a rolling recession into a recovery.”
