Informal Systems’ Malachite Consensus Engine Acquired by Circle Internet Group
Informal Systems, a leading blockchain infrastructure and protocol design provider, recently announced that its consensus engine, Malachite, has been acquired by Circle Internet Group, Inc. (NYSE: CRCL). This acquisition marks a significant development in the blockchain industry, as Malachite will now play a key role in Circle’s new open Layer-1 blockchain network, Arc, which is specifically designed for stablecoin finance. The launch of Arc’s testnet is scheduled for later this year.
Enhancing Stablecoin Transactions
By incorporating Malachite into its infrastructure, Circle aims to enhance the performance and security of stablecoin transactions. This integration is expected to improve the reliability and cost efficiency of stablecoin-based payments, providing users with a more seamless experience.
Open Source Codebase
