Forgotten Runiverse Launches "Crash the Runiverse" Event to Stress-Test Servers
Forgotten Runiverse, a fantasy-themed massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG), announced the launch of its "Crash the Runiverse" event on Tuesday. The event aims to push the game’s servers to their limits in preparation for a global launch.
"The goal is simple: stress-test our servers to their absolute limits and try to crash them," the project announced on X (formerly known as Twitter).
Players have until January 17 at 5pm ET to participate in the event. Upon logging into the browser-based world of Forgotten Runiverse, users will be guided through an onboarding process, tasked with searching for in-game items, and interacting with the fairy character Selene.
Participants in the event have the chance to earn from a pool of 21 trillion Quanta, the in-game currency that will be redeemable for XP, the ecosystem token for the Forgotten Runes Wizard’s Cult NFT project, and the Forgotten Runiverse game upon its official launch. Additionally, players can unlock exclusive cosmetic armor sets by taking part in the event.
This marks the third major event hosted by Forgotten Runiverse, following the success of its Eve of Memory and New Foundations events in 2024. Players who participated in the previous events are also eligible for the Quanta airdrop.
The "Crash the Runiverse" event introduces improved party, chat, and UI optimizations, with a promise of more new content to come later in the year. Forgotten Runiverse initially launched its open beta access in August after transitioning to the Ronin blockchain, an Ethereum sidechain gaming network that is home to popular titles like Pixels and Axie Infinity. Players can collaborate to engage in player-vs-player and player-vs-environment adventures based on the Forgotten Runes lore.
Exciting developments are on the horizon for Forgotten Runiverse, with the global launch drawing closer. Stay tuned for more updates on this immersive MMORPG experience.
