Immutable Partners with Altura to Enhance Blockchain Gaming Economy
Immutable has recently announced a strategic partnership with Altura, a web3 infrastructure platform that focuses on the gaming industry. This collaboration aims to introduce new marketplace solutions to enhance the player-driven economy in blockchain gaming.
The partnership between Immutable (IMX) and Altura will involve the integration of Immutable’s Passport and Checkout infrastructure across various gaming projects, extending these features to the Ethereum (ETH) gaming ecosystem.
Web3 gaming projects on Altura will also be part of Immutable’s zkEVM Main Quest program. Altura has committed $5 million to this initiative, which is designed to support player rewards. The Main Quest program is currently the largest rewards program in the web3 gaming sector, with up to $50 million allocated for player incentives across over 300 funded games.
“By partnering with Altura, we stand to onboard the next generation of games currently in development, while also giving studios access to our Main Quest Rewards program, opening the door for a brand new audience of players to start playing on Immutable,” said Robbie Ferguson, co-founder and president of Immutable.
Developers from both Immutable and Altura will benefit from features such as asset tracking, zkEVM integration, and technical support. This collaboration follows another significant partnership between Yield Guild Games and Immutable, further solidifying Immutable’s position in accelerating the adoption of gaming across the ecosystem.
YGG and Immutable will be investing $1 million in this partnership to enhance player rewards, with gamers receiving IMX and YGG rewards. The price of IMX has seen a 6% increase in the past 24 hours, while YGG has surged by nearly 8% during the same period.
