Open Builders, the company behind the popular Telegram game Notcoin, has just announced a major expansion with the launch of Not Games. This new platform will revolutionize the gaming experience on Telegram by offering unified progression and rewards across multiple games.
Not Games will feature a single player profile that will keep track of achievements and rankings across all games within the ecosystem. Players will also have a shared balance and inventory system, allowing them to use assets earned in one game in others. Additionally, players will have the opportunity to sell their earned items on secondary marketplaces.
The platform will be powered by the NOT token on The Open Network (TON), which was launched by Notcoin last year in a massive airdrop to millions of players. NOT reached a peak market cap of nearly $3 billion last year, making it the top gaming token launch of the year. Players will be able to use NOT for purchases, upgrades, and rewards across all titles in Not Games. Top players will also have the chance to compete for NOT rewards in skill-based challenges every three weeks.
The first game to be integrated into Not Games is VOID, a real-time skill-based game inspired by the popular web game Agar.io. VOID recently launched to the public after a successful closed beta period. Open Builders has plans to add at least five more games to the platform in the future.
Founder Sasha Plotvinov had previously hinted at plans for a platform like Not Games last spring, stating that the studio aimed to create a Netflix-like platform for discovering and playing a variety of new games. “We want it to become the Netflix of social, viral games,” he told Decrypt last April.
With the launch of Not Games, Open Builders is set to change the landscape of gaming on Telegram, offering players a seamless and interconnected gaming experience. Stay tuned for more updates and new game releases on the platform.
