Chainers, the free-to-play web3 video game, has recently announced a closed playtest for its multiplayer shooter mode, offering players the opportunity to earn rewards in NFTs and CFB tokens. With over 25 million NFTs distributed and a thriving community of more than 350,000 players, Chainers.io is looking to capitalize on the web3 gaming trend by providing a blockchain-based gaming experience that combines traditional gameplay mechanics with tokenized rewards.
The upcoming multiplayer shooter mode, named “Chainers Arena Playtest,” will take place from December 5-6 and will allow a select group of players to test out the game, provide feedback, and earn rewards in the form of non-fungible tokens or CFB tokens. This marks an exciting development in the Chainers ecosystem, as it introduces the first multiplayer shooter within the game, combining blockchain technology with familiar gameplay elements.
The Chainers Arena aims to engage both competitive gamers and blockchain enthusiasts with its tactical gameplay elements. The game developers have emphasized that achievements in the shooter mode can have an impact on other parts of the game, such as the NFT Farm where players can cultivate plants to generate FRI, an in-game token. Resources produced in the NFT Farm will soon be usable to enhance performance in the shooter mode, creating a symbiotic relationship between different gameplay elements within the Chainers universe.
Players will have the opportunity to customize their characters, purchase exclusive NFTs, and participate in various in-game challenges and competitions. The developers have also introduced Polygon (POL) tokens as rewards for completing in-game events in the NFT Farm, which can be withdrawn to self-custodial wallets.
As part of the broader web3 gaming industry, Chainers aligns itself with the growing market that is expected to reach $226 billion by 2031. The game developers anticipate significant growth driven by advancements in technologies like virtual reality, augmented reality, and cross-platform gaming.
To participate in the playtest, users can sign up through the Chainers.io registration form. Selected participants will gain access to the game and will be encouraged to provide feedback to help improve the gameplay experience. Rewards for participation include an exclusive “Dummy” character skin for valuable feedback and the opportunity to earn 400 CFB tokens based on activity.
Looking ahead, the Chainers universe is set to expand in 2024 and beyond, with plans for new resources, crafting systems, and multiplayer functionalities. Following the playtest, developers will continue refining Chainers Arena in preparation for an official launch at a later date. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting web3 gaming experience.
