Sugartown Launches New NFT Collection
Sugartown, a “GameFi” platform that originated within Zynga, is set to release a new NFT collection. The platform, which was acquired by startup D20 Labs from Zynga, is making waves in the crypto gaming space.
Background
Zynga, known for popular mobile games like FarmVille and Words With Friends, spun off Sugartown to D20 Labs along with its crypto-focused team. The team at Sugartown has been hard at work developing their latest NFT collection.
The Cores Collection
The new collection, called “Cores,” consists of 9,999 unique NFTs that will be minted on the Abstract blockchain. Each Core will be available for 0.069 ETH (approximately $175) and will grant holders access to Sugartown’s Abstract minigames, rewards, and upcoming features like token staking.
Minting Process
The minting process for the Cores collection is designed to reward long-term believers and crypto enthusiasts. Holders of Sugartown Ora NFTs from late 2023 have already received Cores through a private presale. The minting process is divided into different phases based on the number of Ora NFTs held.
Accessibility
While the minting process may seem complex, Sugartown aims to provide opportunities for all types of collectors. From free mints for Ora holders to a public raffle, the platform ensures that everyone has a chance to participate in the collection.
Gameplay and Future Developments
Sugartown offers a variety of minigames for players to enjoy, including crypto-themed games like NGMI, ATH, and RNPC. With more games in development, the platform continues to innovate in the GameFi space.
Final Thoughts
As Sugartown’s latest NFT collection gains traction, the team remains committed to providing a rewarding experience for collectors. While the platform emphasizes the gamified aspect of NFTs, it also reminds users that these assets are not investment products.
