TapSwap Chooses BNB Chain for TAPS Token Launch Instead of TON
Telegram tap-to-earn game TapSwap has made a significant decision to launch its upcoming TAPS token on BNB Chain, deviating from its original plan to utilize The Open Network (TON).
Token Airdrop Delayed for Better Market Conditions
The game had initially aimed to complete its token airdrop in the second half of January. However, on the advice of a prominent decentralized exchange, TapSwap decided to postpone its token launch in hopes of finding more favorable market conditions.
Launch on BNB Chain Set for February 14
After successfully wrapping up its first season of gameplay on February 6, TapSwap is now gearing up for the launch of its TAPS token on BNB Chain. The anticipated launch date is February 14, as announced in a recent post.
#BNB Chain is fast & scalable, handling thousands of transactions per second. This means smooth gameplay, instant transactions, and no annoying delays for @tapswapai users

The project expressed confidence in the decision to launch TAPS on BNB Chain, citing enhanced speed, security, and accessibility for both players and investors.
Transition to Skill-Based Gaming
While users will continue to earn TAPS based on their engagement with the tap-to-earn game, TapSwap is also exploring the integration of skill-based gaming into its platform for future developments.
Despite previously aligning with TON in a partnership announcement, TapSwap did not address any migration plans or mention Telegram in its recent token launch update.
Industry Shift Away from TON Exclusivity
TapSwap’s decision to launch on BNB Chain reflects a broader trend in the Telegram crypto gaming space, with other projects like Farm Frens opting to launch on alternative chains like Ethereum’s layer-2 network Base. This shift challenges the exclusivity agreement imposed by TON, with Farm Frens even referring to TON as “The Closed Network.”
