Crypto: The Game Returns for Season 3 with Exciting Twists
Crypto: The Game, the virtual competition that took Crypto Twitter by storm early last year, is back for its highly anticipated third season. Dubbed Crypto: The Game – Resurrection Island, this season promises to deliver even more thrills and excitement to players.
Just like in previous seasons, players will be divided into 10 tribes and face a series of daily elimination challenges. These challenges, which have included online games and real-world tasks in the past, will test players’ skills and strategic thinking. As participants are voted out at each stage, only one player will emerge victorious.
Season 3 of Crypto: The Game will introduce new gameplay mechanics and challenges created in collaboration with other Web3 industry leaders. One of the standout features of this season is the introduction of Resurrection Island, where ousted players can earn their way back into the game through high-stakes, on-chain challenges. Founder Dylan Abruscato explained that players will have the opportunity to complete classic arcade games, digital scavenger hunts, and crypto puzzles to rejoin the competition.
In addition to the new gameplay elements, Season 3 will also feature a custom challenge hosted by social media protocol Farcaster and a companion podcast by crypto culture collective Boys Club. The winner of this season will walk away with the entire prize pool, which could be as much as 80 Ethereum (ETH), valued at approximately $180,000 at the time of writing.
To participate in Crypto: The Game Season 3, players can purchase tickets priced at 0.1 ETH each (around $225) via Uniswap’s Unichain, an Ethereum layer-2 network. A total of 800 tickets will be available for sale starting today.
This season marks the first time Crypto: The Game is being hosted under the Uniswap Labs umbrella, following their acquisition of the viral game last year. With the player pool remaining the same size as previous seasons, the focus is on enhancing the overall gameplay experience both inside and outside the game.
According to Abruscato, the decision to keep the player pool size consistent was made to maintain the integrity of the game and allow for strategic gameplay and alliance-building among players.
