World Network Launches Developer Incentive Campaign
World Network, known for its innovative eye-scanning orb technology that verifies human accounts for its mobile super app, is gearing up to launch the next phase of its developer incentive campaign.
Collaboration with World Foundation and Tools For Humanity
Managed by World Foundation and involving corporate entities such as World Assets Limited and World Chain LLC, World Network has partnered with blockchain product developer Tools For Humanity to oversee the development of the World app.
World Foundation and TFH are teaming up with crypto events DAO FWB to host their upcoming event for builders, World Build 2.0, in July. Tools For Humanity’s Chief Product Officer Tiago Sada will be one of the judges for this event.
Funding Opportunities for Developers
Regardless of their participation in World Build, developers have access to various funding opportunities. World Foundation is offering a Mini Apps Grants Program and Mini App Retroactive Rewards. TFH’s Dev Rewards Pilot aims to give developers a total of $300,000 over a three-month period, ending June 30.
Developers who have already shipped something for the World app and reached over 10,000 verified human users by May 16 are eligible for a retroactive funding effort, receiving $1 million worth of WLD tokens. The deadline to apply for this one-time token gift is June 9.
Platform Growth and User Adoption
Monetization is not the primary focus for the World Foundation or TFH at the moment. Instead, they are focused on driving platform growth and increasing user adoption. The World app has already garnered over 10 million downloads on Android alone, according to the Google Play Store page.
World Network Blockchain and Technology
The World app utilizes the World Network blockchain, which is built on Ethereum via the Optimism Superchain. With 300 mini apps available within the World mobile app and approximately $12 million in venture capital funding across them, Tools For Humanity is seeing significant growth and potential for the platform.
Platform Analytics and User Trends
Based on data from analytics platform AppFigures, the Android version of the World app is significantly more popular than its iOS counterpart. While the Android version has seen over 5.9 million downloads this year, the iOS version has less than a million downloads in the same period.
