B3 and XRPL Commons Join Forces
The XRPL Gamechain initiative is led by B3, a network for appchains and gaming ecosystems that originated as a layer-3 network on Ethereum’s Base. In collaboration with XRPL Commons, a group dedicated to supporting the growth of the XRP network, this project aims to bring a new dimension to the world of cryptocurrency gaming.
Xcade: The Gateway to On-Chain Gaming
The XRPL Gamechain will kick off with a testnet version of Xcade, an online arcade featuring five casual and hyper-casual games designed for quick and mobile-friendly gameplay. The full version of Xcade is set to launch later this year, offering a diverse range of gaming experiences for users.
Earning XRP Rewards Through Gaming
Players on the XRPL Gamechain will have the opportunity to earn XRP rewards by participating in challenges, tournaments, competitions, and game nights on the network. This new feature was made possible by the introduction of the XRPL EVM sidechain in June, enhancing the network’s capabilities and creating more opportunities for users to engage with XRP.
Expanding Utility for XRP
With the launch of the XRPL Gamechain, B3 and XRPL Commons aim to increase activity on the XRP Ledger and provide new use cases for XRP holders. By incentivizing participation and offering a variety of gaming options, they hope to attract more users to the XRP ecosystem and showcase the potential of the Ripple-linked asset.

B3, founded by former members of Coinbase’s Ethereum layer-2 network Base, has a track record of success in the gaming industry.
