Authorities in Argentina are on the lookout for Hayden Davis, who is suspected of being involved in pump-and-dump schemes related to two memecoins. Reports indicate that an Argentinian prosecutor has taken steps to request an Interpol “Red Notice” for Davis, in connection to his activities with the memecoins LIBRA and MELANIA.
Hayden Davis has admitted to supporting the launch of LIBRA, a cryptocurrency inspired by Argentinian President Javier Milei, and is believed to have played a role in the creation of MELANIA, a coin endorsed by US First Lady Melania Trump. Unfortunately, both coins experienced significant crashes shortly after their launch, with LIBRA down 92% and MELANIA down 94% from their peak values.
Prosecutor Gregorio Dalbón has emphasized the urgency of detaining Hayden Davis, citing concerns that he may attempt to flee or evade accountability due to his financial resources. President Milei has distanced himself from LIBRA, stating that he was misled into supporting the project and has since retracted his endorsement.
Despite efforts to reach out to Davis and his family for comments, they have not responded to inquiries. It is clear that the legal authorities in Argentina are determined to hold Davis accountable for his alleged involvement in these questionable cryptocurrency schemes.
