Social party game Forgotten Playland is making waves in the Web3 space, as it announces its integration with Beam Network, an Avalanche L1 chain. This exciting development comes alongside the introduction of new content and a battle pass for players to enjoy.
One of the key features of this update is the blockchain integration, which allows in-game assets within Forgotten Playland to become freely tradeable. This enables players to truly own a piece of the game economy, in line with the principles of decentralized gaming.
NFTs and Ownership
Players on the platform will now have the opportunity to own two types of NFTs: cosmetic and toybox. Cosmetic NFTs, such as skins, traits, and emotes, can be earned through gameplay or obtained through the battle pass and toybox features. Toyboxes, on the other hand, are limited-edition bundles that will be periodically released.
“These NFTs enhance the game by offering personalization, social signaling, marketplace trading, and access to exclusive content,” said Zico Bakker, co-founder of Duckland Games.
In addition to NFTs, the game also features the Forgotten Playland token (FP), which fuels a vibrant in-game economy. This blockchain integration allows for unique campaigns like the FLUFFY points campaign, where users can earn points based on their in-game activities and ownership of cosmetics.
Exciting Updates
Players can look forward to engaging with new content in the latest update and beyond. With the introduction of the battle pass and toybox features, as well as upcoming party games and the Plushkyn Battle feature, there’s plenty of fun to be had in Forgotten Playland.
Furthermore, the latest update brings new seasonal challenges, rewards, and full German language support to enhance the gaming experience. Forgotten Playland, set in an attic filled with abandoned plush toys, is part of the growing ecosystem of games on the Avalanche-powered Beam Network.
“Beam has believed in the project from day one and helped us raise the necessary funds to get us where we are. We share a lot of values regarding game development and pushing the crypto gaming space to the next level,” said Bakker.
The free-to-play Windows PC game can be downloaded from the Epic Games Store, offering players a low gas fee, fast processing, and technologically progressive gaming experience. Stay tuned for more updates and developments in the world of Forgotten Playland!
